The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Selection Test is held for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas throughout India. This year, the JNV Selection Test results have just been declared.
The test is held in two levels. Level 1 is conducted at the district level, after which successful candidates are invited to Level 2, the national level. The selection process is based on merit, which is determined by an aptitude test of 100 marks conducted by CBSE.
This year, approximately 5.5 lakh students appeared for the test at around 2000 centers set up in 600 districts across the country. Of these, around 5000 students have been selected and will study classes 6 to 12 in the various JNV schools.
The selected candidates will be provided free education, free boarding and lodging, free books and uniform, and free transport facility from home to school. In addition to regular curriculum-based teaching and activities, JNVs lay special emphasis on sports, extracurricular activities, and personality development.
The names and roll numbers of the selected candidates will be available shortly on the above mentioned website. The selected students and their parents also need to contact their respective JNV offices for any necessary help.
We wish all the selected students the best of luck for a bright future!
