The Odisha High Court is one of the 24 High Courts of India. Recently, the Odisha High Court has released a recruitment notification for the post of District Judge. The recruitment process will last for about two months and the interested candidates can apply for the same until April 21, 2021.
The candidates will have to go through a selection process that is based on their educational qualifications, professional experience, and performance in the written exam followed by the viva-voce. The selected candidates will be offered monthly salaries between Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 (inclusive of grade pay) according to the post.
In order to be eligible for this recruitment process, the candidates must have a degree in law from a recognized university/ institution and hold an advocate’s enrolment as a member of any Bar Council. The candidate must also meet the required age limit that is, age between 35-45 years as on the last day of receipt of application.
In addition to this, SC/ST candidates shall be given relaxation in age of up to three years and OBC candidates shall be given relaxation in age of up to two years. The candidate must also meet the physical fitness standards prescribed by the high court.
The registration process includes two stages: Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. The selection process involves two stages: Written examination followed by the Viva. The Exam Pattern, number of questions and total marks for the preliminary examination include General Knowledge and General awareness (30 marks), Law (50 marks) and Computer Applications (20 marks).
The Odisha High Court has put out an official notification for the selected candidates for their mandatory online training. The training session will be conducted for a period of five days. After the successful completion of the training, the selected candidates will be appointed for the respective post.
