The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recently released notification for recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). The notification was issued to recruit candidates to different categories of the TGT posts, including PGT (pay bands- 9300-34800). The selection process involves a written exam and a physical fitness test.
The application process will begin on June 15, 2021 and will end on July 14, 2021. The applicants must submit their applications online at the official website of JSSC. The applicants who wish to apply must have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and must have at least 55% marks in aggregate. Additionally, they should have passed either of the Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET) or CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) conducted by the Government of India.
The written exam will be conducted on August 12, 2021 and will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) from subjects like General Knowledge, General English, Mathematics and Science. The questions will carry an aggregate of 100 marks and the time duration of exam will be 2½ hours.
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be organized in Panchkula. The candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the physical efficiency test. The PET will consist of running, in which males will have to run for a distance of 1 km in 8 minutes, whereas females will have to cover a distance of 500 meters in 8 minutes.
