Last week the Kerala Plus One Result was released by Education Minister Dr. C. Ravindranath, announcing the details of last year’s performance. According to reports, a total of 18000 students have cleared the exams, making it the highest passing percentage in the state since 2010.
The state education board has declared the Kerala Plus One Result 2020 on their official website, keralapareekshabhavan.in. The aspirants who have applied and tarted the examinations in March were allowed to check out their results on the official website itself along with their mark sheets and the grade sheets.
The passing percentage recorded in the Kerala Plus One Result was 90.1%, which is higher than the passing percentage of last year, which stood at 83.66%. The pass percentage for girls was higher than that for boys this year, and girls accounted for nearly 56% of the students who passed. Additionally, it is important to note that more than 135 of these students have scored over 95% marks.
As marks have been awarded in scores, students who have cleared the examination can use their scores to apply for higher educational programs of their choice. Those who have not fared well in the examinations can pursue the subject-wise Supplementary Examinations, which are scheduled to commence from 23rd September.
In addition to this, Education Minister Dr. C. Ravindranath has also announced that special training camps shall be conducted to help the students in pursuing their higher education.
It is obvious that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire society has been greatly affected, and the Kerala Plus One Result was no exception. Experts are in agreement that due to the pandemic, there has been an upward trend in the pass percentage, especially in the Science stream.
We congratulate all the students who have passed the Kerala Plus One exanimation and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
