The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) teachers’ exam, known as the centrally-administered KVS Teachers Recruitment Examination 2018. This year’s results saw a total of 24,855 candidates being selected for 6,645 posts advertised across the country.
The KVS Teachers Recruitment Examination 2018 attracted a total of 2.84 lakh applicants. Of these, 1.4 lakh applicants were ineligible for the posts due to lacking eligibility criteria. The written examination for the posts took place from December 23 to December 27, 2018. The written examination consisted of two objective-type papers.
The candidates who were selected will now be called for the interview and document verification process. The KVS has already released a list of candidates selected for the interview round on its official website. The selection list is based on the performance of the candidates in the written examination. The KVS will issue the appointment letter to the selected candidates after the entire recruitment process is complete.
The strategic hiring procedure was designed to ensure transparency and efficient hiring process. The procedures included questions regarding the format of the written exam, marks criteria and relevant procedures.
