Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) recently announced the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. The results were declared on the official website of the board: mahresult.nic.in and mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in. The overall passing percentage this year is 88.41%, which is 0.63% higher than last year’s passing percentage.
Amongst the nine divisions, Kolhapur and Mumbai performed the best with a pass percentage of 94.85% and 94.49% respectively. Nashik ranks the third with a pass percentage of 93.69%. Thane and Pune divisions follow closely at 93.43% and 92.85%, respectively. Nagpur and Amravati divisions follow closely at 91.82% and 91.64%, respectively.
The highest percentage of students cleared the exams from Mumbai city with 94.49%. In comparison to other cities, students from Kolhapur excelled with 94.85%. More than 14.60 lakh students appeared for the Maharashtra HSC exam which was held in February 2021.
The top scorer in the Maharashtra HSC exams is Manasi Phutane who scored 490 marks out of 500 with a total score of 99%. Manasi is a student of science stream from Pune and is a student of Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai.
The Maharashtra Board has made arrangements for both online as well as offline counselling sessions to provide guidance and emotional support to the students. The Board has also announced a helpline number (022- 61118000) to provide 24/7 service to the students preparing for their exams and those who have appeared for the exams.
