The Sainik Schools are among the most prestigious institutions in our country and the aspirants have to undertake an All India Selection Test or AIAS, to gain admission. As the Sainik Schools have announced the results of the AIAS 2020, the aspirants and their parents are eagerly waiting to know their fate.
The AIAS is a rigorous exam conducted in two parts. The first part is of a general aptitude and intelligence, which tests the students on the topics of Mathematical Skills, Intelligence, and General Knowledge & Aptitude. The second part is also divided into two sections; Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and English Language & Social Studies.
The Sainik Schools have declared the merit list of the AIAS 2020 on the basis of the aggregate score of both the parts. The result of the AIAS 2020 marks the beginning of the rigorous admission process to the Sainik Schools and carries immense significance.
The students who have qualified in the AIAS 2020 have the privilege to select the Sainik School of their choice. After submitting the choice of school, an AISSEE or All India Sainik School Entrance Examination is conducted. The result of the examination will be aggregated with the AIAS 2020 and the weight-age of the same will be 50 % and 60 % respectively.
The aspirants who will secure the minimum qualifying aggregate score in both the parts of the AISSEE are eligible to gain admission to the chosen Sainik School. Parents are advised to help their child prepare for the AISSEE on a regular basis, to secure the much-coveted admission to a Sainik School. Even the slightest of the gaps in preparation can take a toll on their child’s admission chances.
The result of the AIAS 2020 is much awaited but the same should act as an impetus for the aspirants to gear up for the AISSEE. All the best to all the aspirants!
